Dawg
In todays economy when everybody is trying to pinch as many pennies as possible, I have found one way to help men save a few extra $$$ each year. Today is my wifes birthday so I went to wally world to get her a card. As I was walking over to the sporting goods section (after I got her card of course) a thought came to mind. Since the card will more than likely be thrown in the trash within a week, why not just bring her to wally world, pick out a card for her, show it to her, let her read it and put it back? Thus saving you $5. It would serve the same purpose right? This also could be done for anniversaries too. Would it be wrong??????????????????????????? Alisha
Do you have a dog that lives outdoors? If so, you will be out there sleeping in it's house. Just buy the dang card and spare yourself the argument. :stupid:

texastrophies
You know, I think that is actually a pretty good plan. Why don't you try it out and let us know how it works out for you.

Gotta agree with Jeff here Corey. Give it a try and let us know how it works out for you. bring her a few flowers if she is into that... and a pleasant gift. a nice dinner and time together is more important for us then any card... Also would agree with this, however plants are in some situations more practical and longer lasting than flowers.

RangerClay
I don't know if you have Dollar Generals in your neck of the woods but they have nice cards for $1. My entire family agreed to get all of our cards there and we all save money with no hurt/cheap feelings.

Ethan Givan
I think its a great idea. It makes perfect sense and it saves money. The only problem is women dont always see things in the same logic as men do so it might not go so well. I think its pretty smart though. TBow
OH MAN! We're on the same page! Let's take this all the way. Here's a few other suggestions: 1. Anniversaries: Take her out for supper and order her the special: Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun! Go on the nights it "Two Fer" and save save save! 2. Romantic night at the movies: Buy yourself a 60" flat screen (with all the money you saved by not buying cards and going to McCey Ds instead of a real sit-me-down restaurant), get TOC (The Outdoor Channel) and you and the Mrs. can watch Lee and Tif spend some quality time in the woods or treestands. 3. Valentines Day: Flourescent orange is dang near red. Buy some his'n hers orange hunting coats. If she doesn't like hers, take it back for a refund. Well it was the thought that counted anyways! Right? And instead of flowers, how about some 3D Leafy Wear. That's as close to flowers or vegetation as you can get! 4. Just be prepared for your birthday or christmas, you may very well end up with pictures cut out of your favorite Cabelas catalog for your gift.........That's if you're even still married! Dawg
TBow, I like the way you think. BTW, if anyone has taken or will take this too seriously, don't. I did buy her a card, but the thought still came to mind!!!!
redkneck
eCards baby! Tell her your trying to save the earth or something and cards are killing trees.
buckee
Well if your going to be frugal write her a nice note or letter for her birthday. But write it in pencil, so you can rub it out after she reads it, and use the paper again. :stupid:
