Man what a night

Storms came in after midnight last night and then the hail started. Went for over an hour banging on my window and finally I took my truck up to the truck stop to get under the awning (my 2 car carport only holds my wife's truck and the rest is all my table saws etc). I was afraid I was about to have another ins claim and another $500 deduct. Luckily it never got larger than about 3/8" and no chipped paint. This morning you would swear there was snow on the ground with all the white drifts still under eaves and on the side of the road.

Good thing you had no damage. Woke up to hail and high winds here Thursday morning early, tornado watches were in effect too. Luckily here last night all we got was more rain, which we really did not need.

You just can't catch a break, William. We are looking at possible flooding here if all the rain they say is coming shows up.

Thankfully missed us for the most part. We got a little rain last night, which we did not need. Standing water in a lot of fields around here with 20+ inches of snow melting off, the field tile in my field sounded like Niagra Falls. :D

Sure will be nice to see things dry out a bit so I can get some dirt spread.

We missed it Thurs morning, but was coming down at my boss's house that lives about 50 miles north of me. Been a bad weather year for sure, but at least the drought is not a problem for a lot of us in the south for now.

Wow! Good thing you didn't have any damage done! Hail can be more dangerous than a lot of people think! I've been watching the Weather Channel and seeing how much bad weather has been going on down south. You can send some of your rain up here once our snow melts if you get tired of it :) It rained up here the other day and for the past two days, it's been extremely foggy. Yesterday we couldn't see more than a couple hundred yards out the window, but the visibility is a little better today.

There is and has been water standing here in places where I do not remember seeing it standing in the past. We did have about a week of dry weather and managed to get a good bit of dirt work done, but still have more to do.

Yep, could use a week or more of dry weather here and some sun and light winds. Have water standing everywhere, mosquitoes are already terrible.

Wettest summer last year I can ever remember, followed by more snow than I can remember. Will be interesting to see what we do get this summer. Someone told me the farmers almanac was calling for a drought.
