huntdux
Buddy has some Easton Axis 340's he wantsto sell, but I shoot 400's. How different do they fly from each other ? Would it be a lot of adjustment on my sights? I shoot Hoyt Vectrix and had it chronoed at 283 fps with the 400's.
rhine16
340s are going to be heavier, so it'll slow you down a bit. A little more droppage at longer distances.
Slugger
340s are stiffer than your 400's you will have to increase tip weight or draw weight to get them to tune unless they are longer than what you are shooting now. You will just have to play with them and see if they will tune or not.
Bob LeBlanc
The 340's will have a stiffer spine, and will be a bit heavier (slower). Go to the easton selection chart: http://www.eastonarchery.com/products/selection ...and size up the shafts you should use. The spine requirement will be affected by your draw weight and the point / broadhead weight you use. Shooting an arrow that is too stiff is hard to tune out of your bow, so if you can't make them match up by increasing the poundage or tip weight...pass on them. You won't be happy with the results. Bob;)
