Worst State Game Management Poll

Not really tough here........

Just look for the states with the most dope smoking- tree hugging- granola munching freaks in their general population and you'll find the same in the legislation.

OR-ID-WA-UT-CO

Colorado would have been higher, but, we still have a pretty good population of Christians............right is right.

Too bad most of the people in the DOW are a bunch of flunkies from Michigan......................that's why we manage our own resources. Denver can kiss our butts.

most states wildlife agencies have to pay their own way. so, they sell lots of licenses even when game isn't plentiful.

equal opportunity.. is still in play here.. just because game is not abundant... who would pick WHO got a license? the harvest should then be limited to draw permits of equal opportunity for all hunters and give local resident hunters priority.

Resident... 30 something bucks for a tag. Nonresident... 500 something for a tag. Now check the differance for any other tag a person might want in a state without the Rockies and Elk or Mule deer. The western states make so much money off nonresident tags. Also I've heard so many stories of Game Wardens trailing you on hunts trying to bust you for some infraction. I'm sure some don't have a problem with none of this but this is where I don't think its right.

I pay around 200 resident and its every bit of 800 for non resident.

Also, why is it a problem if a game warden is watching people hunt throughout the day and making sure they dont break the laws? It would be pretty crappy if you got paid at your job but didnt perform at your duty. I can understand how it would be wrong if the game warden was 100 yards behind you driving in his truck while you are on foot stalking for the entire day, but I seriously doubt that happens. If anything he is glassing you from a distance to not disturb your hunt. Dont break the law and hunting regs and it shouldnt matter or effect you one bit to have a game warden watch you hunt.

I totally agree that they should watch over but I had a warden in Colorado track me to my stand while I was watching some elk cows graze. He shouldn't have done that. I only had a bull tag so it didn't matter to much that the game was spooked but it didn't sit well with me afterwords with what happened. I've been checked alot over the years and have a great amount of respect for what wardens have to put up with and deal with. In this disscusion we also have to note the differance in warden and DNR/state. Here in Ga. hunter's pay out through license fees and we still lose land through cuts. Also wardens have to pick alot of the expenditure up being funded with hardly any money.
