Well since i already have a full size pick up thats all jacked up and on 38.5 inch tires and gets 6 miles to the gallon, i decided to get something more functional yet good on gas to drive to work with. i picked up a 06 Chevy Colorado crew cab Z71 with 50k on it. All the bells and whistles from leather, seat heaters, power everything, tow package, bed liner. Really clean truck. Anyone else own one?

I don't own them, but I work on them all the time. :D

They are a pretty good truck to be honest with ya. Those little 5 cylinders sure scat! They have a lot of power for what they are. The new 3.7L I5's are 275hp! The 05's had issues with valve seats eroding in the cylinder heads, even a TSB on it. I've replaced a few heads for a misfire at idle. Valves weren't seating. Other than that I can't think of any issues with them! Only thing i hate about them is the pedals are so close together with my big size 12 boots. I remember the first time I drove one, it was a 5 speed manual, got up to around 70mph went to put it in 5th fairly quick, pushed the clutch in and my other half of my foot hit the brake pedal. I darn near went through the windshield!!! Locked up all 4 tires on the pavement!:o:D Thank the good Lord I had my seat belt on or my melon would have shattered the windshield guaranteed. I had seatbelt rash on my shoulder for a couple weeks. Sure scared the crap out of me, last thing I expected when I went to push the clutch in. :p
