Stone Cold
Here is a Coopers Hawk I think! He flew by my wife and I as we walked our dogs! I went home got camera and then got some pics of him. Here are a couple pictures!
Shaun_300
Cool! Not too sure if I have seen one of those up here, we have lots of redtails though.

Tominator
Yep, that's a Cooper's. Note the rounded tail, blocky looking head. Sharp shins have a squared off tail and a slender looking head.

Tominator
Good pics. Don't see those around here, see plenty of red tailed hawks though. Put up a bird feeder, you'll see them. They hunt other birds. Don't look for them up in the sky, they cruise around below the treetops, fascinating flyers. They are the F-22's of the bird world. Watched one kill and eat a grackle in my front lawn one day.:gunsmilie:

Goinghuntin
Red tailed hawks are sitting on almost every other fence post out here :ninja: Also have one that's been using the same nest for years. Nathan
Stone Cold
We have a ton of redtails but they never let me get close enough to get them with my camera. One day I will! All this sneaking up with my camera helps for deer season! LOL They always say practice makes perfect!
