redkneck
I've been thinking of trying out a Bowtech for the last few years. A local shop has quite a few '09 models at some pretty good prices. I was looking at the 82nd Airborne that is supposed to be lightening fast, but he also has a sweet looking Commander with that center pivot limb. Anybody care to give me their opinion? Diamond Archer 01
I have never shot a bowtech but I did have a diamond that was made by bowtech. I liked the diamond bow and am sure that bowtech make a good bow.
Tom2008
Friend had an 82nd, but switched to his commander. He liked the 82nd, but loves his Commander. Shoot the commander once and you'll see what I mean.
redkneck
I bet the commander is pretty smooth, but I'm just wondering about that long A2A length. I'm currently shooting a 32" bow, and love how compact it is and wondering about going to a 37"
dbHunterNY
In theory, it should make you shoot better with the longer axle-2-axle. However, I you sit on the ground (make-shift blind), hunt in a pop-up ground blind, or hunt in a treestand sitting down or with a gun rail (even standing up depending on your height) you may see it getting a little more cumbersome. I haven't noticed any problems with mine that's almost 34"a2a and I'm an average height of 6'. It's your call I suppose.
redkneck
No doubt longer lengths add to the stability but it's just the tradeoff point we all have to make up our minds on.
TREESTANDSNYPER
I have a Bowtech Admiral FLX. Awesome shooting bow, super quiet and zero handshock. It's completely dead at the shot. Very impressed with it, and how well it shoots.
