woolybear
Yep...The Blue lines carry liquid gold! You're good! Musta been 100 MILES of this piping connecting all the maples from 300 ft above. Looked like some sort of gravity fed system that ran down to a pumphouse at the bottom. Crazy looking- like a giant silly string invasion!
redkneck
I honestly didn't have a clue what that was. Looked like someone had rolled the woods!

92xj
how do you get the syrup from the tree? drill a hole and it seeps out?? Yes and it works with any tree. They will all produce the great syrup you seek, please go rig your yard, post pictures and tell us how it works!
Shaun_300
Yup, it's a pretty slick setup! Like Joe said, a lot easier than going out all the time having to empty buckets.

Wobbly_Alaska
wonder how often Mr bear wanders through and eats those lines up?
TxBowHunter
That's really cool to see that, thanks for posting. At first I thought it was oil lines. Shows how much I know.
GWSmith
wonder how often Mr bear wanders through and eats those lines up? You would think that happens alot but it does'nt. What suprises me so much is I can put a treestand up and undoubtably a limb will fall on it within a week.......I've never seen a busted maple line setup since I've been up north! camoman1
Thats pretty cool! I havent seen a setup like that before, just plenty of white buckets hanging from trees around here now.
gzilla45
Just saw my first one of those last week while checking on ice conditions. The guy had a pump that pulled all of the syrup into a little shack. It was pretty cool to say the least although I like the old school method of putting buckets all over the trees myself though.
