hunterbobb
That is awesome. (Not what I would have choosen for my self) but I bet your daughter loves it. Make sure you post pictures of anything she shoots with it. I think Swampy would like a gun like that. :gun2:

wtnhunt
Looks like it turned out really well. My 8 year old would like that paint job, but my oldest(14) would probably prefer it the way it was in original condition.

coles
How does the rifle shoot?
Wobbly_Alaska
How does the rifle shoot?it does okay... the raptor is a knock of of sorts for the Remington model 700, it has an ugly fit and finish on it but are cheap shooters with decent recoil and it patterns in the 1 inch group at 100 yds... we make managed recoil ammo for the kids so the groups loosen up a bit.. but all in the kill zone and you dont feel bad when kiddo dings it up a bit... conversely the 14 year old got the new ruger hawker for her 14th in DEC.. in 30.06... brushed stainless, black laminate stock and the 3200 elite firefly reticle for a scope.. that is a out of the box tack driver
Jeramie
Looks good! The raptor is a decent shooter. My brother in law had one in .30-06. It wouldnt strike matches but it would easily kill a deer out to 300yds in the right hands. I dialed it in at 100yds for him and was fairly impressed for the price. As far as buying a new one I would probalby look more at the Savage 110's on the cheap end but if I ran across a raptor for the right price I probably wouldnt shy away from it.
