TBow
I know some of the guys who were going to get laid off at the Maitland plant this past winter, have been kept on. I wonder how much the cdn dollar at parity will affect Invista here in Canada?
TxBowHunter
That's great to hear man, I have also heard that the Canadian Economy is actually a whole lot better than the United States. But, I don't really know. Just am happy you are healthy and have work.

Strut10
Good to hear. Of course you know that the reason everything is going so well is that Lord Obama spent all that stimulus cash (that he don't got) down here. You do know that, right?? brownie65
I usually get 112 straight time hours a week. That is my OT/DT figured into straight time. From mid Jan to last Tues I had 2 days off. Got home last Tue, supposed be home rest of this week. Nice to have a few days off but will be ready to go again by this weekend I am sure. Gotta make money, gotta make money, gotta make money, gotta make money. Never know when things could go kaput again. From the places I have been ,my opinion is that things are still getting worse. Most plants we have been at to work are still laying off , cutting hours or working skeleton crews. Only places it seems to be booming have been in the States of Louisiana and Washington. Again this is my opinion and out of the places I have been working the past few months.

Adjam5
Glad you are getting the time Muff. Get that tan while the sun is out! Extra money is always handy. My industry is dying. New construction in NYC is just not happening . We are on a 7 hour day. 7-2:30. I do get home early though to salvage most of the afternoon. But some extra dough would suit me just fine.
