Chenango Dave
Sorry guys I haven't been on here in over a week - been spending a good deal of time at my camp and in the woods and on the river with the camera. Got some killer shots I have to edit and get posted, just haven't had time yet. Anyways... Put the cam out on a drumlog I found last year. This is the first time I set up on this log. Put the camera out the day before yesterday and checked it yesterday, 2 gig memory card was full. These were some of the better ones. I went back last night and adjusted the cam a little to try and get a better angle. All taken with a Sony S600 Homebrew and a Yeti control board. Nice grey phase Ruffy... Man I wish I had the whole bird in this one... Full fan anyway. Closeup... Hope to get some better ones with my new angle. Take care Dave

woolybear
Wow, very cool Dave! What goes into picking your drum logs for a cam set. Is this an annual occurance at this spot?

Chenango Dave
Thanks guys Wooly - I found this one last year, they will use the same logs year after year. I happened on this one while out turkey hunting. You hear a grouse drumming - walk in that direction- stop and listen again for it. Sooner or later you will see the area he flushes from. Just go and look for a moss covered log or stone wall or stump, and look for the grouse poop - if it's his drumming spot - there will be a bunch there.. Just found two more today - got to get my cams out there.
ruttinbuc
That is pretty cool, Dave! The eye to eye is a prize winner to me. All you need now is to hook up some audio/video.
