That is cool! I have a Sony DSLR a350K with an 18-70mm and 75-300mm! I have taken some great pictures with mine! Here are a few that I like the most! I won 2nd and 3rd in the wildlife section of the photo contest at the Illinois Deer & Turkey Classic with the Cicada and baby fawn laying in the grass.

  • 2 weeks later...

I bought a few more do-dads so now I should be good to go!

  • Olympus Evolt E520 10MP Digital SLR Camera with 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 and 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 ED Zuiko Lenses

Then I got this because I figured why skimp on the media to record the good pictures I want the camera to provide:

  • Lexar Professional Series 8 GB 300x UDMA CompactFlash Memory Card CF8GB-300-381

Since I had a point and shoot and I found out the Olympus could have the CF card in there (above) plus this xD card I got it as back up

  • Olympus M+ 2 GB xD-Picture Card Flash Memory Card 202249

Once you start spending I figured why go cheap on a bag. I wanted a good bag to protect the gear and this bag holds it all and well!

  • Lowepro Nova 200 AW Camera Bag

And just in case I needed camera power back up I got an extra one of these:

  • Olympus BLM-01 Lithium-ion Rechargeable Battery

Then I also considered for inside shots etc. I should get this:

  • Olympus FL-36R Electronic Flash for Olympus Digital SLR Cameras

Then this,

  • Sto-Fen OMNI-BOUNCE OM-600 - Flash diffuser

Finally to protect the lenses, this:

  • Zeikos High Resolution 3-piece Filter Set (UV, Fluorescent, Polarizer)

I don't have the name plate of a Cannon or Nikon on the gear but for a person stepping up from point & shoot to DSLR and figuring this will be my first and last I was pretty happy with the whole deal.

The picture quality over point & shoots is awesome!
