sskybnd
i had my bow lowered in poundage, it lowered the speed from 297fps to 281fps, im shooting my first 3d shoot sunday, state qualifier, and thought i had sat to reset the pins, now heres where things dont seem right to me, i went to the achery shop to start to get the 20 yard set up but when i shot the pins where still dead on, i got the man in the shop to look and he said its shooting fine and couldnt say why the pins were still hitting with the lower speed,i lost 16fps or do you think that it realy wasnt enough speed to matter with the pins. camoman1
Your bow probably just shoots flat enough out to 20 yds that the small drop in speed is only going to affect your longer yardages.

I was thinking the same thing.
earnhardts12000
try 30 see what happens
redkneck
The change in your velocity equates to your arrow taking .0115 seconds longer at 20 yards to hit the target. This isn't very significant at that range. Edited March 22, 2010 by redkneck
Tony
Robert where your going to really notice the change in speed is at longer distances. my guess is probably past 30. get those pins checked at all distances. DO NOT go to the state qualifier without checking those pins settings. Good Luck buddy Tony
sskybnd
i have, 30's still good 40 is just a few inches low. 40 will be the farthest i have to shoot so i'l adjust that one and leave the others alone and when hunting season comes back around i'l crank it back up and than the 40 will be the only one needed to adjust. jdeere
Well you lowered your speed...and only shooting to 40 yards..Im going to say your shooting a hunter class..am I rite? Ok like the others said you will see more difference at longer yards.. At 40 yards there will be a bigger difference. If you misjudge a target by 4 yards and your bow is 16 fps off it will make for a 0 score on that target. and if its a bigger target its easyer to miss the yardage by more. Like a big deer at 40 yards could look like a smaller deer at 30 yards. More points off the score card. Make sure to test the longer yards!!!!!!! jdeere
Oh yea what if the bobcat is 38 yards and its down hill and off camber? More points off..Shoot as much as you have time!!!!!!!!!! At all yards!!!!!!!!!!
bow hunter steve
i would try to shoot 35 yards with it and if it still hit perfect without movin ur pins that would be strange
