Guest gt2003
I'm looking for some of the little "rubbers" that fit over the end of a muzzleloader barrel to keep out the rain. It always rains here in muzzleloader season and I had a bad experience with getting my powder wet the year before last. Anyone have any ideas where I can get some? Thanks, Greg
superguide
Re: Muzzle rubbers, what are they called? Get some surgical gloves and cut the fingers off-cheap and work great or use a ballon
AJ
Re: Muzzle rubbers, what are they called? They are called "finger cots". If you search the internet you can find them at decent prices. You may also check your local drug store. They come in different sizes. Match the size to your barrel.
Guest gt2003
Re: Muzzle rubbers, what are they called? Thanks guys. Since I work at a hospital I may be able to find both. I appreciate it. Too much rain this weekeend. Will have to sight in my gun with my new bullets this coming weekend. Thanks again, Greg
hangunnr
Re: Muzzle rubbers, what are they called? These things were marketed by Traditions. They were called "Muzzle Mitts" Go to the Traditions website and do a search on muzzle mitts. hangunnr
Guest gt2003
Re: Muzzle rubbers, what are they called? I finally found them on their website. 4 bucks for 10 muzzle mittens and 10 cap holders/securers. I actually stopped by my local drugstore and bought 24 of the finger cots (all of which will fit my muzzle) for 3 bucks. The way I figure it I'm set for 12 years of shooting 2 deer per muzzleloader season. Thanks for the input. GT
too_pointer
Re: Muzzle rubbers, what are they called? I have used black balloons for years. They do the same and do not cost anywhere nears what the others are asking. too_pointer
Bow Hunter Derek
Re: Muzzle rubbers, what are they called? Even cheaper solution. Take a piece of black electrical tape and put it over the end of the barrel. It will simply blow off when you pull the trigger, yet it keeps all the water out.
