The_Kat
Looks like it's gonna happen folks. What a sad sad day in our country. Democracy has failed here in America. The people have spoken and the people were ignored....our childrens futures are in the tank.
Goinghuntin
:stupid: I'm all against the health-care bill. I prefer to choose my own plan anywhere I wish too with whatever amount of coverage I want. Nathan
Newarcher
Wrong-O my friend....very Wrong. Democracy didn't fail...no way, uh-uh. The sorry butt people who were handed the most successful Country in the history of man and given the task of safeguarding it, gave it away. They chose to turn in their freedom for comfort (perceived anyway) and lack of responsibility all thanks to a circus like side show. They chose to vote in a fraud over someone with a backbone and conviction. I must say though, I lay this at the feet of the fat, consumed with comfort and happiness over TCB, unaware, stupid American public. The Dems are doing exactly what they said they were going to do...it isn't like this wasn't foretold. But it was cool to vote in a basketball playing fool. We get the government we deserve and I hope that those who voted for this monstrosity are happy. By the time they realize that the substandard care they subjected yourself and the rest of us hard working Americans to would have cost less had they gone out and bought it in today's market. Funny. Morons, it doesn't matter if you pay it in taxes or if you pay it in healthcare insurance costs, it is outflow. The side story to all of this is that now your healthcare has become a political pawn just like Medicare. The democrats will make sure their voters pay little or nothing for theirs while subjecting anyone who earns wages to extremely high taxes. Bet you didn't hear that if the doctor you use happens to be a good doctor and refers you to a specialist, he will receive a cut in his government funding...didn't hear that did you. I am so cotton picking pissed off right now it is all I can do not to drag the first person I see sporting an obama bumper sticker out of their car and beat them mercilessly. But that would be a hate crime. New

m gardner
I waiting to see how the masses handle being fined for not having sufficient insurance coverage. Seems there's a whole new class of criminal about to be created. I know that my employer will drop all of us and there will be no coverage offered so it'll be up to us to get it or go to jail. Pretty cool stuff. Mark
wtnhunt
Shows the true contempt these politicians hold for their constituents when the overwhelming majority of people in this country have clearly said they do not want this. Very sad indeed.

fugitive
Friend -- For the first time in our nation's history, Congress has passed comprehensive health care reform. America waited a hundred years and fought for decades to reach this moment. Tonight, thanks to you, we are finally here. Consider the staggering scope of what you have just accomplished: Because of you, every American will finally be guaranteed high quality, affordable health care coverage. Every American will be covered under the toughest patient protections in history. Arbitrary premium hikes, insurance cancellations, and discrimination against pre-existing conditions will now be gone forever. And we'll finally start reducing the cost of care -- creating millions of jobs, preventing families and businesses from plunging into bankruptcy, and removing over a trillion dollars of debt from the backs of our children. But the victory that matters most tonight goes beyond the laws and far past the numbers. It is the peace of mind enjoyed by every American, no longer one injury or illness away from catastrophe. It is the workers and entrepreneurs who are now freed to pursue their slice of the American dream without fear of losing coverage or facing a crippling bill. And it is the immeasurable joy of families in every part of this great nation, living happier, healthier lives together because they can finally receive the vital care they need. This is what change looks like. My gratitude tonight is profound. I am thankful for those in past generations whose heroic efforts brought this great goal within reach for our times. I am thankful for the members of Congress whose months of effort and brave votes made it possible to take this final step. But most of all, I am thankful for you. This day is not the end of this journey. Much hard work remains, and we have a solemn responsibility to do it right. But we can face that work together with the confidence of those who have moved mountains. Our journey began three years ago, driven by a shared belief that fundamental change is indeed still possible. We have worked hard together every day since to deliver on that belief. We have shared moments of tremendous hope, and we've faced setbacks and doubt. We have all been forced to ask if our politics had simply become too polarized and too short-sighted to meet the pressing challenges of our time. This struggle became a test of whether the American people could still rally together when the cause was right -- and actually create the change we believe in. Tonight, thanks to your mighty efforts, the answer is indisputable: Yes we can. Thank you,
wtnhunt
I LOVE seeing all you guys upset....is that bad? CONGRATS AMERICA!!!!!!! That sounds like something our buddy Lance would say. Keep this a civil discussion on the topic. The overwhelming majority of people in this country did not want this healthcare reform or this "Change", I am to take it from your comments and cut and paste here that you did want this reform? Do you understand what this reform means to you if you pay taxes, to your employer, to your children?

It's clear the Democraps do not care what the American people think. People.....? There are PEOPLE on earth besides democraps........... oh, yeah, the stupid ones that put them all in office....... I sure hope each and every one of them realizes what this fantastic "change" has done...........lmao I personally am for the big "REPEAL"....... this is proof that we don't live in a democracy anymore..... the vote goes to the highest bidder for crap projects in various states...... it's very unfortunate that constituants that the PEOPLE put in office can be bought out for such ludicris bills such as health care!!!!! Does anyone on Capital Hill know how to read and deduce consequences............ There went my "change" right outta my pocket..... thanks democraps......
