texastrophies
Need to do an update. Here is my new toy. It is a 2008 Polaris 800, I just bought it with 16 hours on it. 6 inch lift, 31" Outlaws. Has a little over 20" of ground clearance in both front & back. In this picture it was just getting ready to leave to go get a snorkle and stereo system installed that will allow it to go through well over 6' of water. Same as mine except mine is a 2008 without the XT package. Gotta love the viso-lok! Only time I get mine stuck is if the tires paw through all the snow and mud underneath it to the point of getting hung up on the frame, nothing the 3000lb winch can't take care of. V-4 Johnson w/ 4-blade Solas Amita prop Garmin finder Standard Horizon marine VHF Kenwood stereo Not a beauty queen, but very reliable (as long as you keep the dead-man switch pushed in) and very stable in rough water and hard turns at full throttle. Runs low 40's with 2 men and good conditions.

Shaun_300
Haven't posted in here for a while. Sold the Can Am, just didn't have the time to haul it around to drive places when I lived at my parents. Now I live on a 100 acre farm with my girlfriend and our new daughter. Kickin' my butt I sold it now! Have a few other vehicles to use on the farm for now, a 1997 Yamaha Kodiak 400cc with the 5 speed foot shift. Also have a 1983 Honda ATC 200cc 3 wheeler that I don't have a picture of. I need to get a new carburetor for it, it sat for about 10 years with old rotton gas in it and ate a lot of the aluminum away from the inside of it. I cleaned it and it runs, but idles like crap because it runs so rich at low RPM and fouls the spark plug like an old 2 stroke snowmobile. :clown: Gotta check the compression on it, may end up rebuilding the engine over the winter. She's burning a bit of oil so I imagine it could use a new piston/ring set, bore job and redo the head with new valves, guides and seals. Last year I picked up a 2000 Skidoo MXZ 700cc 2 stroke that a customer blew up because all his other sleds are 1200cc 4-strokes and he forgot to add the injection oil. He traded it for another 1200 LOL. I bought it dirt cheap from work, rebuilt the top end and had it running and driving for about $800 total, including the price of the machine. Pretty good since these still go for $2000 to even $3000 if they're in this good of shape. Need to get a new tuned pipe before this winter. Hole rotted through right at the end of the season last year. It's done up nice with V-force 3 reed valves and a few other goodies. Probably has around 130hp. Think I'm going to upgrade the clutching and change the gear ratio in the chaincase before winter. I don't know what it is but I have an obsession with doing wheelies on snowmobiles, drives my girlfriend nuts LOL! :clown: I can do them pretty good the way it is but after I'm done these mods I'll be able to stand it right on end for the length of the field. What a fun toy, had them growing up and used to drive mine to highschool which was a 15 mile ride. Never had one quite as quick as this though, which is probably a good thing! Biggest I had was a done up 500 that would top out around 90mph. Had this over 105mph across the field last winter and it was still climbing. Guess I better shut up about it since most of you guys live in areas where it doesn't snow and you're falling asleep with boredom LOL. Can you tell I'm looking forward to winter!
Shaun_300
Picked up a boat a few weeks ago from work that came in on trade over the winter. My ex-service manager that got canned "bought" it but never paid for it in full, wanted his money back when the boss fired him, so I ended up buying it for $1200!!! It's a 1990 Sea Nymph GLS 195. 19 foot aluminum walk through windshield. Has a 24 volt trolling motor on it that dang near gets the boat up on plane on its own lol (ok not quite, but it works good!). Best part is the engine. Has a 2002 Mercury 90hp 2 stroke on it. I don't think management realized it had a newer engine on it than 1990, that's probably why I got it so cheap. I could sell the engine for $4000 tomorrow if I wanted to. Just installed a 19 pitch 4 blade prop on it, it was a little underpropped with the 17P on it, revving at nearly 6000RPM wide open at 41mph. Hoping it touches the 45 mark now, we'll see. Also put in a Garmin GPS/fish finder. Next on the list is a dual battery charger for the trolling motor batteries, and a new stereo. Nothing fancy, but it's mine and there's no 10 year payment plan lol.
kissshot9
Recently picked up a used Tacoma. I've been planning to use it as an off-road recovery vehicle but I still can't afford a blue ox towing system and a new suspension lift kit. I still have my spare set of mud tires that I could install on it though.
