Leo
I'm having some kind of reaction to one of the medications I have been taking. Pretty sure it was one of the anti-biotics I was taking when I had a sinus infection. But I'm not positive. I've been off that now for almost a week. This still isn't going away. I have to consider it might be one of my other meds. Whatever is causing it, it is making my hands and feet swell up like they are arthritic. It hurts like heck! Hope I figure it out before the turkey season ends. Here is my hand this morning.
Texan_Til_I_Die
Yep, better get that looked at before you get joint damage.
Leo
I've called the doctor. I've stopped one suspect med and will be swapping the other one today. Right now standard pain medications keep it at bay. The swelling is worse in the morning.
buckee
Have you taken any Benadryl to combat the allergy symptoms? If it persists after a few good doses of Benadryl, it has to be something you are still taking. Keep a close eye on it Leo. Each time you react, it will get worse. Turkeygirl
I would def. suggest seeing the Dr....You don't want to mess around with potential allergic reactions to meds....and they need to know that if you are, they can put it in your charts...That or make sure it's not something else going on besides an allergy. Let us know what you find out!
Jeramie
That doesnt sound like fun... You better book an appointment to the Dr's!
brad dryden
What the heck did you do? I remember I woke up one morning and my hand was swollen like that but it didn't hurt but my mom though maybe some how I fractured it and I guess maybe it was a bug bit or bee sting but didnt see any marks. Shaun_300
I hope they it out for ya Leo! I just had a similar thing happen to me with medication. I broke out in hives though, took Benadryl and Reactine to get the hives to go away and the doctor switched meds for me.
Leo
Swapped out the other suspect med two days ago and I'm finally improving. This wasn't really an allergic reaction but an uncommon side effect. It may in fact have been triggered by the two meds interacting. At any rate I am getting better, thank you God.
