My problem, I can't find anyone nearby that sells Di-calcium phosphate. My local co-op, Southern States, says they can't get it. dogdoc
Re: Di-calcium phosphate I get it at Tractor Supply Co.--the only place I can find it. Sometimes it can be tough to fine. todd
wtnhunt
Re: Di-calcium phosphate I just bought some minerals with dicalcium phosphate for livestock over the weekend that I plan to try in my mineral site. Had I think 20 percent dicalcium phosphate, also picked up a bag of loose trace minerals with salt. The 50 lb bag at rural king was like $6 for the dicalcium phosphate and $5 for the other minerals. wtnhunt
Re: Di-calcium phosphate You probably will have to ask. They might also have it mixed with other minerals. The dicalcium phospate I found at rural king is made by ragland I think and it is already mixed with other minerals. The content on the dicalcium phosphate I think was like 20 percent. Guest MarylandQDMA
Re: Di-calcium phosphate I just found all the ingeradenance for the lick! pick it all up on friday! one thought though, the store only has 50lbs bags of di-cal, and 80 lbs. of trace minerals along with 80lbs. of salt. can I mix the #80 trace with the #50 di-cal? I know it calls for 2 parts trace to 1 part di-cal. will the extra 10 lbs. of di-cal make that big of a differance? Frank
dogdoc
Re: Di-calcium phosphate nope--the only problem with putting too much di-cal is that it is a little bitter tasting--that is why you add the extra salt. todd

Carl
Can the WHITETAIL DEER HOMEMADE MINERAL MIX RECIPE be used for human consumption if mixed in much smaller quantities? Thanks!
