PA_RIDGE_RUNNER
This morning I happened to look out my back door and there were at least 16 turkeys in the cornfield about 200 yds away. Got the binos and sure enough there were 4 toms. Two were jakes and the other two were longbeards, one dominate and one that hung around the jakes outside the main group. Nothing like sighting a bunch of birds to get one all excited for season to open. Oh wait season isn't till 1 May I may be worn to a frazzle by then. gzilla45
I hear ya. I've got 23 days until my first day I can go. Unfortunately I can only get out for 1.5 days the first week I drew but I'll make the best of it. I have another week in the end of May which I should be able to hunt3 days of. I definitely can't wait.
PA_RIDGE_RUNNER
Thanks guys. Spike King is right I do get to go hunting for two weeks in Kansas starting the 14th of April. Of course Spike king isn't telling ya that I took him to Kansas for a week of spring gobbler hunting in 2008 and he got two big old toms there. We actually got our first ever double out there. When it came time for him to call me in a bird he came home. We will have a few days to hunt back here in PA and hope to double up again.
