redgreen
When I was shooting the tree rats, I used either a 22 or a 12 guage with a load of #2's. It was great for getting them out of the tops of the oaks. I also used a pellet rifle and a pellet pistol with great success.

Ethan Givan
I use a Marlin 60 .22 most of the time anymore. I used to use a shotgun but it got to be too easy and just didnt excite me much. The .22 adds a little more challenge and really tests your marksmanship if you try for head shots only.

dbHunterNY
Right now I use a Mossberg 500 20ga or a Magtech .22LR semi-auto. Both were bought at Walmart for less than $100 each. They work; nothing fancy. If I could choose any gun? A Remington model 1100 Premier Sporting Series 20ga I can think of guns that are nicer, but it'd be made here in NY. I'd maybe even have the custom shop engrave a squirrel on it. I imagine I'd be ready for those squirrels then. :gun1:

Hoosierbuck
Our fox squirrels are pretty big, so I like to take the Win. 94 in .44 magnum, with 4x scope. Head shots are the rule, however... HB
