Re: scent cover

I use the Scent Killer original spray. Next year I am probably going to try some of the autumn (dirt) smelling kind and also use coon urine on my boots for when I am walking in.

Keep my clothes in a plastic tote lined with cedar limbs

I do this too, except when I put my clothes in a plastic tub, I put maple leaves from the ground in the tub so that I get a dirt smell. I don't use cedar or hemlock bows because I may not be hunting near any cedars or hemlocks at some point in time, but with the dirt smell, I don't have to worry about a deer smelling something out of place. If I am hunting in a cedar or hemlock stand, I will then just break off a branch, crush the needles and roughly rub the scent into the clothes, then when I put the clothes back into the tub, the dirt smell will cover the hemlock or cedar smell for another day in the woods.

Re: scent cover

I use scent away spray everytime I hunt.I use an earth scent cover spray and Keep my hunting clothes in a plastic bag filled with spruce boughs. My boots are kept in a seperate bag with a sock full of baking soda in each one.Besides that I really pay attention to wind direction. The most Important Factor!!IMO.

Re: scent cover

I do all the scent stuff your suppose to do but I do not use any cover scents or attractants. I hunt the wind, stay scent free as possible because I want the area to remain as natural as possible.

The only thing I have started doing is using Team Fitzgerald Deer Dander on my boots as I walk in.
