I saw some pics Buckee posted on Facebook and I was wondering who else have you guys met or grew up with? I think we've done this a time or two but it never hurts to refresh everyone's memory.....

I dont really have that much except for Jery Lee Lewis moving into our town and his having a son my age (23 now) and when they moved into town (of course) we went to school together! So having went to school with Jerry Lee Lewis's son is pretty neat.

Alabama football player Terry Grant holds a few freshman rushing records and, I played against him in Jackson MS in the 2A state championship game my senior year. You might be able to dig up some you tube vids of him and that dude is FAST...

Well I've met Chris Neil from the Ottawa Senators, I've known his wife since we were kids. He brought her, the young lady and the dog up to Gran's resort for the day a couple summers ago. He was my horseshoe partner that afternoon, we cleaned house!:D

My mom has been good friends with Stuart Gavin who is a retired NHL player, see him a few times a year when he comes to visit the family. He played for Toronto Maple Leafs, Dallas Stars and the Hartford Whalers.

Yeah, my sister wanted that picture of James Cameron and I in Art Class. Jimmy was a friend and classmate in public school, and we shared the same passion of art class, only he was really, really good at it. and obviously still is.LOL

I'd like to sit down and have a chat with him some day, just for old times sake.

I've met several people in the hunting industry... Tim included. I've also met others outside the industry; John McCain for a very brief moment, many local politicians, Landon from MTVs Road Rules, Chris Scolese (then Chief Engineer) now Associate Administrator for NASA, and that's all I can think of right now.

I drove a limo for a few years in NYC in the mid 80's and met quite a few celebs. I also worked at Yankee Stadium from 93-01. So was always yukking it up with players and sport personalities. Especially the ones from the South and West that I knew were hunters and outdoorsmen. Too many to list. Been to many political functions and parades and met many of those phony SOB's also. Got in trouble once from my union Rep because I put my hand down, looked away and refused to shake Chuck Schumers hand when he greeted a table I was sitting at;). That I'd like to think was my crowning moment :D.

My wife used to get mad at me because I never showed any enthusiasm about trying to see or meet any celebrities or sports stars when opportunities arose. So one year when I was working on Lake Erie near Niagara Falls, I was told that Robert Duval was staying at a cottage next to the lighthouse I was working at while he was shooting the movie "The Natural", made in Buffalo NY (1984?).

Mr. Duval was obviously on site shooting the film, but his dog, Beau, was there walking around the property I was working at. The lighthouse keeper told me it was Robert Duval's dog, so I grabbed a piece of paper, took one of Beau's dirty paws and stamped his footprint on the page, then I scribed the name "Beau" underneath it.

What'd I do with it? Gave it to the wife and said, "There's an autograph for you! Don't say I never gave you anything!".

I don't think I've ever really had any association with anyone super famous or anything like that........ but I did stay at a Holiday Inn once! ;)

Well all of mine are distant associations minus one or two. John Malkovich is from my home town of Benton, Il. So is Doug Collins who played in the famous 1976 Olympic Basketball game, coached the Bulls and he Pistons. Google it and you'll see what I mean. He also played for the 76ers. My Grandma babysat the guy who designed costumes for "The New Adventures of Lois and Clark." They did the last legal hanging of a man in Illinois in my home town and I redesigned the Gallows from original pics of the hanging during my senior year in CAD. My cousin was engaged to Jennifer Capriati for 5 years. I met her one Thanksgiving. Nice. I just recently found out that one of my friends is not only gay (we were on the same wrestling team in high school) but and executive producer on a long list of reality shows. Look up Russel Jay on Google too. I never would have thunk it on either issue but to each their own. He was always a nice guy and a good wrestler.

My godfather's nephew got drafted to the Texas Rangers as a pitcher at 18 years old a year or two ago. And have met David Letterman and he sat right in front of me at our local 4th of July rodeo. I could have rested my feet right on his shoulders! He owns a big ranch up where i used to work and could have run him over as i was driving down the road and he was jogging down the dirt road. I was nice enough to slow down and not choke him out with dust though.

Have met and worked with many musical artists/acts, politicians, actors and actress's. I find most put their shoes on just like me.

Recently found in a national magazine something I recognized.

I made this fire ring for Blake Shelton a couple of years ago.

I got nothing to speak of. Other than those dinners with senators a few times most of my family and acquaintances have been more notorious. Mama's mother was a James, and you only go back a tad to find Jessie and Frank in her family picture album. A lot of the characters in that movie Mississippi Burning I've known or knew their kids well.

Other than that I did hunt with Preston Pitman a couple of times, he's a riot! Also checked into a hotel in Ohio and looked over to see Jessie Jackson checking in beside me, he's not very friendly.
