You said you've done a few more and you like them more. The thing that I've learned from making my furniture, is that I actually like looking at my early pieces. When I can see my mistakes and flaws, which used to drive me CRAZY, I actually appreciate them now. I love being able to see my work progress through the years and get better from one to the another. I can point out to people, much like you are, the flaws then show them my better work and teach them the differences on how to critique furniture better. I usually find, as you have, most people have no clue! I can now look back at those pieces and laugh at my stupid mistakes. It really makes it more fun instead of frustrating.
