Realtree meet up

Recommended Posts

I was just talking with Steve B and he thought of having a priairie dog hunt in Wyoming. I am not that far from wyoming. And I am sure he knows that land inside and out and knows where to go. I think that is a great idea.

I'd be all for that, but I don't live out there. The OTPG event is probably more of a possibility though. lol

There have been a few RT get togethers of different types over the years. Some successful, some not. Get one setup and there will always be atleast a few to show up.

Yep...everyone thats been planned...get like 25-30 folks saying "Yeah, sounds fun, lets do it". Then someone puts alot of time into researching places and things to do...at the last min....only 1/2 doz. (if your lucky) show up!

Good luck! ;)

Out of state hunting for anything other than hog isn't likely for me due to cost. A 3 day (extended weekend) fly fishing trip to northern Arkansas would be of interest to me. Cost for non-resident = 32 dollars. Not sure what time of the year would be best? I have a travel trailer that sleeps 5. I pull it to Idaho from IL so Arkansas would be no big deal.

I'd be open to a 5 day hog hunt in Oklahoma (during Christmas break late December - early January) as well. I don't think a license is even needed to hunt hog in OK.

I think a turkey hunt would be the way to go......Tags are cheaper. Some states offer a ton of public land.

S.Dakota supposible has a BUNCH of public land to chase turkeys. However it is far away from people on the east coast.....

I have no clue about KS or OK about public land. Missouri also has some larger public tracts of public land.
