Muleyman
I was just talking with Steve B and he thought of having a priairie dog hunt in Wyoming. I am not that far from wyoming. And I am sure he knows that land inside and out and knows where to go. I think that is a great idea.

The OTPG event is probably more of a possibility though. lol

snapper
There have been a few RT get togethers of different types over the years. Some successful, some not. Get one setup and there will always be atleast a few to show up. Yep...everyone thats been planned...get like 25-30 folks saying "Yeah, sounds fun, lets do it". Then someone puts alot of time into researching places and things to do...at the last min....only 1/2 doz. (if your lucky) show up! Good luck! Ethan Givan
I would like to be able to come, but I doubt I could make it unless it was an hour or less from me. I know thats not gonna happen lol. It sucks being a very busy, and very broke college student.

ildrhntr
Have to pick something that isn't hard for everyone to get a tag. Turkey hunting is great but your going to have to have access to a lot of ground depending on how many people come.
BRHNTR
A spring turkey hunt would be nice. Anything but an Eastern! I would also be open to almost anything, even a fishing trip! BRHNTR
Shaun_300
Sounds good! For any of you folks wanting to see some Canadian scenery you're always welcome here! Joe, we should get together again this year and golf.
Flintlock1776
Ho 'bout a Gland Slam Road trip, In lieu of one place, travel the good old USA and take in several of the types of hunts suggested.
BRHNTR
As mentioned above. Thats it, how about "Grand Slam Turkey Tour 2011" Try to make the one to finish your slam or all of them if you can. BRHNTR
ruttinbuc
As mentioned above. Thats it, how about "Grand Slam Turkey Tour 2011" Try to make the one to finish your slam or all of them if you can. BRHNTR That looks like it is way beyond the reach of a lot of people. Looks expensive and who has that kind of time?

Ohiobucks
muggs will be organizing another Realtree Golf Roundup soon, somewhere in central/north central Ohio I'm guessing.
fly
Out of state hunting for anything other than hog isn't likely for me due to cost. A 3 day (extended weekend) fly fishing trip to northern Arkansas would be of interest to me. Cost for non-resident = 32 dollars. Not sure what time of the year would be best? I have a travel trailer that sleeps 5. I pull it to Idaho from IL so Arkansas would be no big deal. I'd be open to a 5 day hog hunt in Oklahoma (during Christmas break late December - early January) as well. I don't think a license is even needed to hunt hog in OK. toddyboman
I think a turkey hunt would be the way to go......Tags are cheaper. Some states offer a ton of public land. S.Dakota supposible has a BUNCH of public land to chase turkeys. However it is far away from people on the east coast..... I have no clue about KS or OK about public land. Missouri also has some larger public tracts of public land.
