Turkeygirl
So was steelhead fishing yesterday. nice day, water was nice. Just alot more people than I expected. Landed a real nice female who is now filleted and in the refrigerator...Got her in without a net even, while 2 guys down from me - the one caught one, the other one on his knees on a rock trying to grab it with both hands and it slipped right out...hee hee hee...:eat::1eye::1eye: Anyway the bad part though. I had this metal fly box that Randy on here sent me a while back. I had it packed with about every fly I ever made..probably had a good 100 in there...Forgot to zip my one pocket and it fell out and sunk down in the rapids somewhere...Well better that then the car keys in the same pocket but still...I didn't know if I was mad or going to cry, lol. If you tie flies, they are like your babies,:baby: So disappointing but oh well. All the time and materials put into them... Next fly box I get is going to have a clip on it of some sort. So be sure to zip your vest pocket when fishing!
ruttinbuc
That is a bummer, Ruth! That happened to me one time with a box full of spinners and spoons. The water was high and the current took them to the depths. I went back a few times to see if I could find them with no luck.
Wobbly_Alaska
sorry about the loss of the goods .... but look at the bright side...over 100 sharp things in the creek? some lucky trout could start his own peircing shop now...
Tominator
Next fly box I get is going to have a clip on it of some sort. Or, epoxy some styrofoam in the top of one. Little trick I use on my pocket tackle box. :eat:

Dakota
Sorry to hear it, Ruth, a similar thing happened to me today too; the wind gusted and blew my 2 dozen crawlers off the dock and into the pond. I ended up buying minnows and caught about 18 fish! Might have just been a blessing. Dakota
