Hello All,

I've been trying some new things (long exposures.. 5-20+ seconds) with my camera.. I took these at the spillway of the lake I live next to, I was quite pleased with them & thought I'd share them with everyone.

Later, Phil B.

Very nice photography there, Phil ;) Love the driftwood on the falls.

That's cool.

I used to dabble with time exposures. Mostly city skylines and such. I have a nice 5 minute exposure of the Golden Gate bridge laying around somewhere. My best was a 7 minute exposure of the ship I was stationed on when we tied up in Nassau once.

Well, lets get them scanned up so we can take a look at them! :camera:

Eric, (muggs) might still have a copy of the ship pic. He digitized it and made a copy for a shipmate of mine. It's a 24"x36" poster now. I have no idea where the golden gate pic is. I think it's probably still back home. I gave it to my mom, but I have no idea what happened to it after she passed away.

Thanks All.

The Kid,

Tv: Is you're shutter speed, it determines how long your shutter is open.

Av: Is you're F Stop, it determines the size of the opening in you're lens, F/2.8 is a fairly large opening, F/22 is like a pin hole.

ISO: Is used to set the sensitivity of the Sensor on a digital camera or the film speed on analog. ISO 100 is less sensitive & in digital has lower "noise" than ISO 800. In film the "noise" is sometimes called or referred to as grain.

Dave,

No I didn't/don't currently have any filters. I'm planning on picking up an 8x (three stop) Neutral Density filter & a Circular Polarizer filter.

I had to wait till the sun had set to start shooting.

Later, Phil B.
