Diamond Archer 01
I was just curious to how many arrows you typically shoot during a nice day. I shoot a ton during the summer and on nice days. Today it was really warm here and I think I probabally shot around 150 arrows today. So how many arrows do you guys shoot per day?
dbHunterNY
It depends on how much of a bum I am that day. lol I try not to shoot more than about 18 arrows at a time. I'll go back later though and shoot 18 more. I start doing things I'm not supposed to if I shoot much more than that. I suppose in competitions or something you may need to shoot more. I've never done any of that kind of shooting though.
JimPic
On a normal day,50-100....more if I go to a shoot
mallard_drake85
Though I may shoot multiple times per day, I will not shoot more than 15-20 arrows during a session. I feel that shooting more than this during each session, your muscles become fatigued and you begin to develop bad habits (particularly with your form and follow through) that may inadvertently overtake your normal shooting rhythm. Just my 2 cents mallard_drake85
Wobbly_Alaska
well i have only shot about 30 this year.. the weather is finally getting warm enough to get rid of the dang snow so i can get out more... i average 50 a day may-sept:hammer1:
Diamond Archer 01
When I said I shot around 150 arrows that was all over the course of the whole day. I would shoot like 30 arrows then take a break and do some more shooting.
Crappiepro
I agree with mallard drake, I only shoot 10 or 20 arrows in at session. It seems like my group stay tighter,Too many arrows I start gettin shakie. I will shoot more sessions as season gets closer. Im wanting to shoot more, like maybe a 3D shoot for fun in the off season. thats my 2cents
JimPic
On a normal day,50-100....more if I go to a shoot I should've said that this is over the course of the day...not all at once. Seems I'm always taking one of my bows off the rack to shoot a few

bluelund79
About 35-50 a day. Sometimes I'll do it twice. I know once my sons bow comes in next week, it'll be a little less, but alot more teaching until we are both shooting together!
Flintlock1776
None until late summer and I get back into step for hunting season. Even then, not too many. My set up is pretty accurate. This approach works for me;)
woolybear
I try to make time to shoot 50 two or three times a week. With shed hunting coming to an end I should have more time to bump that up by at least one more day. Got about a month to get ready for gobblers. arrow32
I shoot however many. Normally quite a few. 50 or more.
Tony
depends on whether im at a 3D or just practice. normal practice is a round 75 to 100. most shoots are closer to 75. but i dont shoot everyday any more. i find a few times a week helps to keep me sharp. Straight Shooter
I ususally pace myself on the amount of arrows that I shoot which ranges from 50 to 100 when I am down at my range. I started out shooting only three arrow groups this year and am now up to 12 arrow groups, which I will shoot 4 to 6 groups or more. When I said I pace myself, I give my arms a rest between groups being shot so not to change my form from tired muscles. I shoot alot by myself so I take my time. m gardner
I'll shoot a round of field archery ( 112 arrows but it's 4 arrows at a time and a leisurely stroll between targets ) 3 to 7 times a week with practice on the main range too, for form, and maybe a little 3-D.
