Wobbly_Alaska Posted April 5, 2010 Report Share Posted April 5, 2010 Well i had THAT call from mom yesterday... happy easter and you need to come see your dad this year before he dies..... so i need to make some plans... my folks retired to Kingman AZ 6 years back and i have made a few trips to see them.. so i have to ask is there any hope for me to make any spring hunting trips if i come down in May?( he will be 69 may 24th) or is it all draw only? i would like to do a second around thanksgiving.. as dad and i have never deer hunted together, my dad taught me all i know about hunting and fishing and woodsman ship here in AK.. i would love to take him on one more trip if possible.. thanks for the input Vince Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
m gardner Posted April 5, 2010 Report Share Posted April 5, 2010 There isn't alot to hunt in May OTC except coyotes and elk. The OTC elk tags valid then are in the Holbrook area and there are few elk. They are trying to eliminate them to help the antelope and deer herds. I did manage to kill one a few years ago though. Wobbly_Alaska Posted April 6, 2010 Author Report Share Posted April 6, 2010 Thanks Mark, lots of planning to do, but i dont think elk will be the tripp for dad. had his prostrate removed when he retired and that really ate him up physically. took a stab at the AZ regs... and wow every one says how hard ours are to understand.. i guess it is what your used to.. but still reading..
