Muleyman
Hey guys. I was just thinkin that we should have a gopher hunting contest. It is a little late for this year but what about next year? It could be the same as the shed hunting contest. Take a picture of every gopher that you shoot. It would just be for fun and bragging rights. No prizes. Well what do u guys think of this? Turkeygirl
Well if it included woodchucks, lol. We only have woodchucks around these parts...
Tominator
We don't have gophers or prarie dogs. On a good year I might shoot 2 or 3 woodchucks.
Muleyman
Well thats a plan. All small game like that. Gophers, Wood chucks and prairie dogs.
Adjam5
I shoot about 6 a year. Got my 1st with a bow last summer . If you do a contest, I'm in.
Shaun_300
That'd be fun, I'm gonna try and get out more this summer to shoot them. Especially now that I got my .220 Swift all dialed in with the big scope on her. we call them groundhogs here, not sure if they're the same as your gopher or not. They're about the size of a skunk or coon.
SchuLace
That is nothing like the gophers here. Ours are pretty small. Prairie dogs are a big bigger but not quite the size of a skunk or coon. They are a blast to shoot though.
Muleyman
K well I am no doubt in. As long as we are gonna have enough interest. I think that we should at least try it next year and see how it goes. So who all is interested forsure??
coles
I wouldnt have enough time and memory on my digital camera to take pics of all the gophers we shoot in one day. Last year we shot 450 in just a few hours. went back a couple days later and shot 375 more. Its like that just about every time we go out later in the spring. Good idea though. Muleyman
Holy crap. What about having a limit for a day?

They're about the size of a skunk or coon. Our gophers are small...not even close to the size of a groundhog! I think it would be a fun idea...we would have to make a lot rules and stuff though since not every one has gophers...and some have way more gophers than others.
