Does your state have a minimum draw weight for hunting?

40# minimum draw weight here in WI.

How embarressing is that, post number 1001 and you got it wrong. Sorry bluelund I'm just messing with you. The minium draw weight is 30lbs. They must have lowered it though cause when I first read this I thought is was 40 lbs too.

30 lbs seems a little light to me. Maybe they did that for all those new 10 year old hunters they are expecting.

this was taken from a florida hunting regulations handbook

longbows, compound bows, recurve bows, crossbows Longbows, Compound

bows, Recurve bows and Crossbows must have minimum draw

weights of 35 pounds. Hand-held releases may be used. Arrows used to take deer, turkeys or hogs

must be equipped with broadheads having

at least two sharpened edges with minimum widths of â…ž inch.

45 in SD. There is a maximum broad head size but I can't remember what it is off the top of my head.

In South Dakota? :confused: Last time I checked it was 40lbs. but I'll check the GFP website to make sure...either way I'm good to go...my Monster is set at 55lbs. in the early fall and back down to 50 at the end of the season.
