camoman1
I was pleased to see my local FOX news station (out of Green Bay) do a story painting us sportsmen/women in a good way!! They did a clip live from a Sporting Clays/Hunting Club Range this morning. They were promoting the special sporting clays shoot they are holding this weekend that benefits a local charity/help group. The news lady actually took a few shots on live tv....I thought that was pretty cool as I dont think most news shows would do anything like that. gzilla45
That's good to see. Unlike Madison and Milwaukee, which in my opinion should be annexed to Illinois, Green Bay is in touch with the rest of the state. Now the real question is, did she hit anything? Trigger
Always a good thing when the news broadcasts hunting/hunting related sports in a postive way!
Goinghuntin
Good to hear that. I doubt they ever would have run that here :jaw: Nathan
Flintlock1776
Nice. The media here would not even get close to a fair and balanced approach to the subject.
bowhuntMN
I worked for 4 years at a sporting clays range and every year we had a shoot much like the one you are talking about. They called the Courage Shoot since it benefited Courage Duluth (Duluth, MN) and it was probably the largest event they had the whole year and numbers keep climbing. And every year, since about 2 yrs ago, the local news would come out and do a story on it, and yes the reporter would always take a few shots on the skeet range and you could just hear a loud cheer everytime he hit one. They also came out for a side x side shoot we had one summer to do another story and the sports reporter, a very good-looking woman, was hitting clays left and right and enjoying it. So i guess the local news in Duluth here has a very strong connection with outdoorsman in the area, which is absolutely fantastic in this day and age.
