I took all these pics on Easter weekend. Haven't EVER seen it this hot at Easter! It was 91 degrees on Friday, 87 on Saturday and 80 on Sunday! On Friday dad and I were out Geocaching all day, we both had a blast despite the freakin heat.

The little village on the top of the mountain, probably 15 miles from where I was, is the highest populated point in Ontario.

Took this for Jason. :p:D

The ice was starting to go off the lake, Gran has lived there for almost 60 years and said she's never seen it off so early. It's usually at least the end of April, sometimes into May before it comes off. I got the canoe out and went for a little paddle in the bay where there was open water.

This is kind of funny. Our 4 wheeler tracks from going back and forth to the fish shack in the winter. :D

And then! Saturday night all heck breaks loose! 55mph west winds whipped up like ya turned a switch. 2 1/2 miles of ice starts heading for the shore at Gran's. It was about 400 yards off shore before the wind hit, I ran down tot he beach to check on my canoe and the ice was just hitting the shore, it takes a lot to stop the momentum of that much ice! This is what it looked like when it finally stopped. Gran said she's never seen it come up this high, it usually always hits the shore but there's only 2-3 feet of it.

I'm about 6'6" with my boots on. I was standing when I took this pic, the ice had to be 10-11 feet high.:jaw:
