Brett-Ty was shedhunting on Sunday when he founda silkver fox and a yote in snares-they were still there on monday-what should a guy do he figures they had been caught for quite awhile. There was a snared deer too-he brought that one out of the bush. It's on private land or I'd just phone SERM-i'm afraid they'll hassle the landowner.

Re: Hey sureshot!!!

I would talk to the landowner and see if anyone has permission! I know down here no one has permission to use snares, they are illegal! You can use power snares!Talk to the landowner and if he has no idea og to the warden and get the idiot fried, this is the bull that gives all trappers and hunters a bad name, sure snares kill usually quick but not always, they still legally have to be checked every 3 days no matter what, looks like he left the snares at the end of the season, why waist tiem to pick up a doller snare,to many have that way of thought and that is why snares are illegal i bet!! let me know Cory what happens but I would not leave it be, teach Ty the right thing to do to keep our huntin alive for his kids!

Re: Hey sureshot!!!

Guess what Brett-Ty found a young yote packing a 110 Conibear trap while out shedhunting today. There's somebody in my neck of the woos not doing a very good job of trapping obviously-impossible to tell who it is as the backwater north of me is major skidoo trail. Really gets my goat the foot was grown right around the trap.
