two kids drew antlerless here in the back yard ( 2 0f 11 )

i drew Fairbanks managment BOW only antlerless( 1 of 80 )

and one kiddo drew for the second time alaska range Caribou 1 of 150... this one is the hardest to fill... less then 5% sucess rate we nearly got one two years ago.. but it winded us and left and we ran out of time.. NOW with a history of the area we can spend a week or more looking for her critter and i can sheep hunt as well....

MAN !!! iam i going to be busy this fall

our Anchorage employee's Hubby also drew a antlerless tag for our claim... that 3 of 10 tags there...

the only and i mean ONLY problem i see...

i am the ONLY one that can skin a moose and process it .. the rest are able to help... but have never done it..

oh well i normally do 4-7 a year for friends anyway..

and to be honest.. we will work our bottoms off to fill ALL 6 moose tags and the bou and donate meat to whom ever needs it.. we use 2 a year in our house. (including my buddy ) anchorage will use 1.. thats 3 moose.. or over 1500 lbs of meat we can distribute in our community this year.

Need any help? I could deal with spending a couple weeks in the bush helping out!

BRHNTR

Thanks all.. and i always welcome a new person to camp... if some one want an experiance and an opportuinity.. I am more than willing to show some one around... BUT.. ak is VERY tough on non res/ res hunting trips... so! I am NOT a guide and your expensies are yours.

but fun can be shared by all. we live a subsistance lifestyle in that a portion of every hunt is shared with some other family regardless of the quantity of harvest. my beliefe is that this sharing of game is what has awarded me my success as a hunter in Ak... 19 moose.. 19 years not many can top that one. ( but i am willing to help them try)

Nathan, i am packing as we speak ( sorta ) gearing up for spring bear, the first has been spotted down by Nenana... and they will begin moving here in the next two weeks...

got a hunt planned on the Yukon River with some friends of mine for may, hoping to get my older partner a nice fat blackie and my stepson also... but FIRST... i plan on thining a few of the Griz around the claim and land this year... got a nice 10 foot interior griz to chase around again.. he and i have been playing cat and mouse a few years now...

NOT always sure who is the cat with this guy though... but this fall for sure.. Aug 10-November 27 is my season....:D
