Actually.............this is the 3rd bear dog we've had (and the Mrs. had 2 or 3 more pre-me). The last one had to be put down in the fall of '08. It appears that we done good. Crosby is already house-broken. He comes when called, kennels when told, knows "no", is at about 50% on the "heel" command and plays a mean game of fetch and tug-of-war. Will have to wait a little while to cultivate his protective instinct. But he's definitely got one. Looks like he should train out to be a great companion dog for all of us. Down Cherry Run Road off 422 ........ little west of Elderton. He was the last of 3 in the litter. There's a litter of 12 week Rotts in the Horse Trader this week if you're thinking about it.
