It's been awhile since I've updated my new finds.Things are getting green so the shedding has slowed down and I'm working better hours so I've got more time there too.

Here's some more of my finds going back to March 12th.

Back in that same area again where my last hunt took place.I came in from a different direction and tried extending my search a different direction.

Almost didn't see this one in the leaves.

After a long hike coming up empty I spot an old busted off antler.

The day's finds.

My next day out was another long day with only a few sheds found. This was in an area that produced well last year, but was void of deer this year.

I did find a single and a set. Here's the single.

About an hour later in a different section of this area the first half.I really liked the color of this antler.I like the ivory white colored antlers the best. It's hard to see in the pics and being wet probably made it look whiter then usual.

This find was almost a yard shed.

I searched the rest of this area only finding the mate to the last one.

Here's the 2 together, you can see the color a little better here.

I did find a little dead 8 pt. this day too.

And all 3 sheds for the day.

My next hunt was back in an area I've looked a couple times already, but today was the first time since our snow melted.

Things started off fast finding a little Y shed.

My next find didn't take too long.At first I thought the squirrel found it first.

A couple hundred yards away an old one.

A while later I'm still not sure how I spotted this one.It ended up being a 3pt. side.

Another long dry spell before anything showed up.It was worth the wait.I've found more fresh antlers alone this year then I've found all the rest of the years together that I've been shed hunting. These were already found by the rodents and laying along a field edge.

After the set no more were found so I headed to another area.I stopped first for a 2 min. walk in another area.

A quick walked turned up this old one.

In my last spot for the day I found 2 more fresh ones.

First this little fresh Y shed.

IMG_5174.jpg

IMG_5176.jpg

Then last for the day a little 4pt. side.

And all 9 for the day.

I had a few days were things slowed down only finding one old one.

My first hunt I spent 5 hours searching some cut corn for a couple bigger sheds I was trying to match up coming up empty.

Then my next hunt was 2 hours local checking an area out I've never been in before.I saw some nice sign, but think someone else was in there before me.

I did have a cool encounter with a groundhog.I've seen them up trees before, never this high though.

If you follow the trunk up to where it splits that little brown spot on the right is the groundhog.

My next hunt was 6 hours again, first searching some more corn then a quick hunt in another area.

In the second area I managed to find an old one buried in the grass.
