Vault
Ok, so I have this farm in our family, and it is a regular slice of heaven. My family and I can hunt any legal species in Indiana on this farm, it is truly great. It is about 270 acres, about 50% of which is crop-land. My uncle is actually the one who owns the farm, but he lives in California so my family and I are responsible for the upkeep of the property. Over the last five or six years we have experienced great success with both deer and turkeys. I heard today that it is my uncle's intention to sell the farm, as soon as this year. Obviously I am completely distraught by this, and am seeking a solution. I will graduate college this May, and am fully willing to use whatever money I can generate from my future job to help keep this farm in the family. Ideally I will generate enough to make this happen, because I am not willing to let go of all the memories my family and I have created there. However, in case this does not plan out I was thinking about leasing land for my family and I to continue hunting, without resorting to public land. I am completely green on this subject. I have never had to lease hunting grounds, and frankly wouldn't know where to begin. I was simply wondering if there was any advice on where to look for leases, what to look for in said leases, and roughly what a typical lease should cost? Again, any advice would be greatly appreciated, because I am in need of help. I would be looking for land in Indiana, and if you need me to be more specific I will be. Thank you.
