cinch314 Posted April 19, 2010 Report Share Posted April 19, 2010 Well, my daughter and I decide to go camping with my Dad and his wife up in the Ouachita Mountains this past weekend. While we are there we do quite a bit of riding with me bringing both of our horses. Well, Friday morning my father gets the bright idea to put my daughters saddle on my roping horse and take her and the horse to the round pen. THAT WAS IT! I NO LONGER HAVE A HORSE NOW! Hunter decided that Dunny was HER horse since she got to ride him all around the round pen by herself without a lead rope or anything. She was turning him both ways, stopping and backing up and everything. She started getting brave and kept smooching to him trying to get him to trot or lope. Needless to say, everytime you ask Hunter what her horse's name is she says Dunny and Chubby. When she is asked whose horse Dunny is she replies "MINE" soooooooooooooo yea I lost my horse but Im so proud of the way she was riding him! It reminded me of me when I was 3. Yep Proud as can be. My dog Dougie almost got away from us. Had it not been for our custom tent (falling on top of us and tangling him), he'd be God knows where. Ive been through that too many times 22 miles from the trail head while elk hunting. Not a good place to have your horses head for the trailer without you.
