Flintlock1776
I have the Primos Gun-hunters Blind and I sprayed the water repellent stuff on it but, what has been your experiences with hunting in the rain? Next Monday is opening day and it looks like advanced forecast shows rain all week:48:
Diamond Archer 01
I sat in my hunting blind during deer season a few times while it was raining. I barely didnt get wet at all. Sorry to hear that it is supposed to rain tho.
Ohiobucks
Seems the turkeys around here like to head to open fields when it is raining. Good luck, hope you bag a big'un.

Nope, all my land is timber, no open fields within the 82 acres I have to hunt. Plenty of bears, not sure if they will huddle up too during the rain. I'll bering my camera too. Can't hunt the bears but fun to see them.
ccwhitey
I have killed a couple of birds in the rain and all of them were later in the day. All of them came from the timber to the open field were I was set up at. Only on one occasion have I hunted in a blind in the rain and that was deer hunting. I didn't get wet so I'll bet that you'll be alright. Tough luck on the rain though.

Strut10
The blind should keep you as dry as you will be able to be if you're hunting in the rain. If you don't have fields, try to work your way around the openest timber you have........or along woods roads. Call as you go.
Flintlock1776
I held off. I'll go Friday & Saturday. Windy today, frost in the am Thursday but temps rising. The Game calendar shows good but not great activity up to noon. We have to stop hunting here by noon:angry: but maybe the temps up and wind down will improved the game forecast calendar. dbHunterNY
yea you'll stay dry in a ground blind without a doubt. i have noticed with mine though that water comes down the walls due to the stitching being taut when setup. keep your gear away from the sides in case you get the same problem.
