ccwhitey
I have had the worse luck this year. I have called in 7 different longbeards for 3 different shooters and all three have missed. During youth season I had the chance to take out two of my sisters. For the older one this is her 3 youth season but she has always gone out with my dad. This time I took her and her younger sister. On saturday I called in 3 longbeards for my younger sister and unfortunately she missed. This was her first time so I was not mad. The next day I called in two more for my other sister and she missed. I can't really blame her because these were the first toms that she has ever seen. This past weekend I took Parkergirl. I took her to my favorite spot and called in another two longbeards. Regrettable they saw her swing her gun to get on them and ran off. I called one of the birds started to come back. She thought that she would not get another chance so she rushed and missed. I'm getting kinda frustrated but I understand the reasons why all of them missed. I'm taking another new hunter to the woods this weekend and I hope that the trend of longbeards coming in continues but not the missing. Thanks for listening

Flintlock1776
Well, I suppose that is why they call it hunting and not shopping. Keep at it and good luck.

ccwhitey
Thanks guys for the vote of confidence. I'm used to calling for more experienced hunters and am getting used to the fact that I have to explain everything to new hunters. To say the least I have learned something new in each situation which is why I am out there.
dbHunterNY
that's not too bad. i mean you're still calling in birds! lol it's just stories to talk about that's all. i'm sure the experience was good despite the misses. think of it like birds can't keep coming in and one not get whacked. keep doing what you're doing. it'll happen and if it doesn't you'll have a following with the number of toms you've called in by then.
