Shaun_300
Haven't done a truck update in a while! Got a big shipment of goodies from Jegs yesterday and installed everything tonight after work. Had the engine fully assembled on the weekend and was waiting for this stuff, now all I need are a couple odds and ends like an engine mount, coils, plugs and wires, little stuff like that. Hopefully it'll be in the truck this weekend, doubt I'll be able to start it, but it should be at least in and within a few hours of roaring. Tonight I installed: Edelbrock Ceramic Coated headers Cadillac CTS-V accessory drive system (alternator, power steering, waterpump etc) Flywheel, still need bolts for it, you'd think when you spend $300 on a flywheel they'd give you bolts. Clutch and pressure plate, just had the pressure plate on with a couple bolts to make sure it'd fit, I'll be able to put the clutch in between the two once I get flywheel bolts. I think she looks pretty mean!
redkneck
Lookin good Shaun! What tranny and rear end did you say you were going to put behind it?
Muleyman
Shes PERTTY! lol. That truck is gonna be an absolute BEAST. HOpe to see it this summer.
Shaun_300
Thanks guys, the transmission is a NV3500 5 speed manual, rear end is the stock GM one, 3:42 gears. If that blows up I'll put 3:73s in it. It's nice for fuel mileage with the stock setup since I can cruise at 70mph at 2000RPM.

PA_Spike_King
Is there another color for engines?? Where I was going with that is just ask a F-O-R-D guy. They hate that color. LOL
dbHunterNY
I'm surprised that thing isn't breathing fire yet and blowing up a pumpkin rear end. Looks like progress though, valve covers are on and what not.
Shaun_300
Had to do it a little at a time, $3-4K is a lot of money to spend at one time. And that's with getting the engine (longblock) for nothing!
Goinghuntin
Lookin' good Shaun. Love those manifolds Nathan

Shaun_300
Nope, no open headers. I'm sure the cops will be watching me enough having that big lopey cam in there with the magnaflow duals as it is. Don't want to get electric cutouts. May as well right myself the ticket! Shaun_300
whaddaya mean, cruise at 70. the speed limit is 62! lol  I meant cruise at 70 where the speed limit is 50-55! On the 4-laners where it's 62 I'm usually up around 80 or a little better. We get away with speeding a lot more than you guys do though!
