HUNTINGMAN Posted April 22, 2010 Report Share Posted April 22, 2010 http:// I mannaged to get out this morning for a hunt,this is only the second time I have been out this season. There were birds gobbling on all the farms around me,only heard three on the farm i was hunting on.I was sitting in my ground blind watching gods creation come to life and I looked up and seen a hen in the feild.I watched her and she all of a sudden got nervous and started to putt.I have been hunting for a long time and spent countless hours in the woods but I seen something I have never seen before,a bobcat,he crossed the feild not 15 yards behind the hen.I then had 4 does and a button buck pass by at about 15 yards.I had been listening to two gobblers all morning,they went quiet about 9:00am and I thought they had went the other way.About 9:25 I heard a gobble not 60 yards away.My heart started pounding,I spotted them comeing my way.One went left and the other went right,I couldnt move for feer that the one on the left would see me in the blind window,he was ten yards away.He finaly broke right and joined his partner,they went behind a ceder tree and I poked the barrel of the benelli out.The first one to stick his head out was the unlucky guy,I squeezed the trigger and he fell like a cement block had been dropped on him,about a 35 yard shot.He aint the biggest bird I have killed but man he is gonna taste good.He weighed 17.5lb,had a 10"beard and 1" spers.
