Turkeygirl
This is from today, H.S. Undertaker Choke, Mossberg 500 20 ga. Super Bantam, TruGlo Red Dot, and Federal MagShok #5. Target in the left of the photo was @ 25 yards, with 51 holes in the circle on the head, didn't even count the ones in the neck:gunsmilie: Target on the right was at 30 yards, with 32 holes in the circle on the head, didn't even count the neck holes:gun2: Pretty good for a 20 ga if you ask me! I think I'm all set for those gobblers...No wonder the last 2 spring seasons, both gobblers got dropped around 30 yards:D
Strut10
Looks like you're way good to go out to 30 yards, atleats. You oughta try it at 35 and 40 as well. There's a gobbler in the fridge right now that doesn't have too much nice to say about them 20 gauges.
snapper
That will work Ruth...I patterned my new choke (kicks) with the new truglo scope today. Had over 40 bb's in a 4" circle at 40 yards! Didn't count the 30 yarder and couldn't count the 20 yarder. All set...now to get a bird to go along with the plan next Sat.
Goinghuntin
Thats really good Thats about what I'm getting with my Mossberg 500 12-ga. with Winchester 3in. No. 6's and Tru-Glo red dot sight. That was from 25 yards I think, the 35 yard shot was actually better. Nathan
3seasons
Nice patterns, all you need is a live target.
codman
I got a 20ga Mossberg 500 older gun from my wifes grandfather. I put a extended turkey choke on that and used some remington magnum turkey loads. I did a comparison between the 20ga and my 12ga berretta AL391 and the 20ga by far was more accurate and had more bb's in the kill zone so thats gonna be my turkey gun.
