Ohiobucks
....and the mosquitos are surrounding me by the hundreds. Lesson learned. I hope I have enough blood supply to get back to the truck later....

Diamond Archer 01
The mosquitoes have not been bad around here when I have been turkey hunting. At least not yet, lol.
Goinghuntin
The mosquitoes have not been bad around here when I have been turkey hunting. At least not yet, lol. Same here. Either that or it's been way too windy every day Nathan
Rhino
Dang Tom! Don't know how you can sit still with those blood suckers feasting on you. Hard lesson to learn.
dbHunterNY
Last year I managed without one, but I got one for this year!
maytom
That's one thing you don't want to be without. I go to this one website and buy what they call the "Summer pak". It's 10 kits in a box, that will last a couple of springs before having to get another. Don't ever want to run out!!
muggs
mosquitos aren't bad up north yet.

Adjam5
Yikes! We had frost warnings this weekend. So no bugs to be found so far.
PA_Spike_King
Tom, do you guys have standing water in Ohio this spring? I know when we have a very rainy late winter early spring the bugs can be unbearable. And thanks for the heads up, going to look for my thermacell. Ohiobucks
No standing water this spring, it's been very dry. We did get some rain this past weekend along with some warmer nights, so I'm sure that is what brought them out yesterday morning. The thermocell is in my truck now though...... Tom, around this part of PA we have lots of sink holes and standing water in ponds that can play havoc in the spring as when it gets closer to dark we have to go inside because the bugs just won't let you alone. Flintlock1776
I got a nice Tom today and thanks to your post I remembered to bring mine. It did not get a lot of use as I dropped mine at 6:35am but the bugs that were there were gone so I could drop mine bird today!
