Diamond Archer 01
I am sorry about another one of these bowhunting turkey threads but I have a question for you guys. I always hear that you are supposed to hit a bird high but is there like a dead zone on a turkey? I know there is a dead zone on a deer but I was wondering if there was one on a turkey. Any input will be appreciated.
Ethan Givan
I would think through the breast would be one. nothing but meat, no vitals.
Diamond Archer 01
Thanks Ethan. But i was wondering like above the vitals is there a dead zone or is it the spine there?
Ethan Givan
It looks like if you miss the vitals and spine high then you are going to get nothing but feathers. If you hit low then you will get nothing but breast meat. The only dead zone i can see is that area below the femur and above the sternum. kind of a hole there
