Tominator
My 3 year old came home yesterday from the daycare center and his teacher there noted that he had a runny nose. (what 3 year old doesn't?). By 8 o'clock the poor little guy was running a fever and not feeling good at all. He crawled up into bed with me and watched TV for a bit, then he wanted his "blankies", then "lello juice" then he wanted mommy, then he put himself to bed. He got up at 1:30 and the fever hadn't broke yet so my wife rocked him and gave him some more tylenol. Man I just hate seeing my little guy sick like that, breaks my heart. Guest Andrea
Re: Man I Hate That Having a sick child is absolutely the worst. Especially when they have a fever. It makes you want to trade places with them if you could just so they'd feel better. ( We grown-ups deal with it a lot better) Hope he feels better soon!!!! hutchies
Re: Man I Hate That Yeah I know the feeling my 7 month old was running a 103 temp. Took her to the hospital because she was coughing like crazy and they told us don't worry about the fever til it is over 105-106.

wtnhunt
Re: Man I Hate That Sure does break your heart when the little ones dont feel good. Nicole, our 3 year old, also had a fever yesterday and complained about her stomach not feeling good. First thought she just did not want to eat her lunch, but when I checked she did have a little fever, so I gave her some childrens tylenol and the fever went down, but was up a little again around supper time so I gave her more tylenol and she fell asleep kind of early. She is fine now though. Been some kinda nasty stuff going around here lately. A stomach flu has been hitting alot of the residents and staff at the nursing home my wife works at. Hope he gets feeeling better soon, bet it is just one of those 24 hour bugs.

Missed160
Re: Man I Hate That When my kids were that age I reached the conclusion that it easier to be sick yourself, then it is trying to make them feel better... Good luck, you'll get through it..
kooter
Re: Man I Hate That my two little ones have the same thing. took them to the doctor and she said they have rsv, some type of respitory problem. coughing and high fevers. she gave them both an antibiotic and a steroid to help them. they told us anything around 103 temp to go to the hospital for the 3 yr old, my 8 month they said 102 is the magic number. hopefully this medicine will work for them, they have both been sick for one week
