camoman1
Dad and I got our hands on 250 spruce trees to plant. They are mostly around 12''-16'' tall. We are planning (hoping lol) to get them all in the ground tomorrow. We are going to put them along a creek that cuts through some open crop fields. The creek already is kind of brushy, but we thought a few spruce trees could really make it a nice place for some critters to hide in in a few years. Tominator
Cool. I just planted 100 white pine and 100 scotch pine the other day. We'll see how many make it.

I actually would come and give you a hand, but unfortunately I have to work weekends at the marina (and its my turkey period LOL). But only for 2 more weeks, I had another offer that I just couldnt pass up. So if you have any left to plant in a few weeks I could give ya a hand. We didnt quite get all ours in today either. We are debating where to put the last 75 or so.

With the dry summers we have been having, some are bound to die. Congrats on the job.
Strut10
Where was all this help a couple weeks ago??? 500 Concolor fir 2400 Fraser Fir 200 white spruce The tree planter really does help. When it comes to planting them here, there and everywhere for game cover, a couple hundred can take as long as a couple thousand in rows.
