Out sick today

With two days till turkey season I've caught the crud. :helpsmilie: I'm taking the day off and going to urgent care for a strep test. Hopefully they can get me back on my two feet again before Saturday. Wish me luck and a couple prayers wouldn't hurt either.

I'm right there with ya......been 48 hours now. Advil cold and sinus has been working well for my symptoms, but it only lasts about 6 hours or so. (Un)fortunately I won't be able to get into the woods until Tues. so I've got a few days to heal. I had it much worse in Feb. I was down for 11 days with the worst sore throat of my life. Quickstrep came back negative though.

That stinks! Hopefully they can get you back up and running by the weekend so you can thump a bird.

Strep must be making it's rounds...both my kids just got over it. They have about 6 more days of antibiotics.

That stinks Joe, but you're doing the right thing by going to the doc instead of fighting it. Hope you are all better fast to get in one last try at the birds.

Thanks guys. Doc said it was a sinus infection. Never had one of them before. Going to go lay down with some hot cider and a Moster Bucks DVD. Take care .

Oohh. That's no fun....I've had a few myself in the past few years. The shot in the behind seems to work a little faster than oral antibiotics. You may want to ask your doc.

I'm in sick bay with ya, Joe.

Had a bit of a cough for the last several days. Worked yesterday, but coughed myself darned near dizzy about 20 times (not good when driving a 13 ton truck). Came home last nite with a fever. Went to bed at 8:30 or so. Got up at 6:30 to call off work. Went back to bed. Got up at 1/2 hour ago.

Feeling some better.

Maybe go take a snort or two of some elderberry hooch. That oughta straighten you out. :wine:

Man that sucks Joe, I'm sick too! Man a lot of people on here sick. Felt it coming on in the back of my throat when I woke up Sunday morning, Tuesday morning I could barely talk or breath. Doing pretty good now though, still sneeze a few more times than usual a day with a few sniffles and a bit of a cough, but not near as bad as the beginning of the week. What ya need is a good snort of Fireball (can't remember if you tried that when you were up ice fishing or not). That or Crown, that'll clear the ole sinus out for ya. :D

I remember that, we were both disappointed you couldn't make that one. We sure all had fun on the Golden Lake trip though. Hope to do that again this year.

sounds like a bunch of people are stick Joe, Shaun, Don, and anyone else I may have missed wish all of you with a quick recovery. i actually had bronchitis a couple weeks back. finally after a week i went to the docs and got put on zpack antibiotics and also took mucinex that i got at the store. kicked it in no time.
