Strut10
Do Thermacells work only when you are stationary?? Or will they work when walking??
bluelund79
They work best when you are stationary. However, I do keep mine on when walking, obviously its not as effective, but since I mosey everywhere, it does do a fine job without having to slather too much bug dope on. Plus, I'd rather do the clicking sound at the truck than when I get to where I want to hunt....
wtnhunt
I have found that they do not work well at all here when walking, even at a slow walk. Great product for when you are in one spot though.
Rhino
Like the others said Don, they work best when you're in one spot as opposed to walking. They do work when you're walking but not as effective as they are when you're stationary. With that said...when turkey hunting I have mine on all the time when the suckers are wanting to feast. Better to take advantage of whatever it's effectiveness is no matter if I'm walking or sitting.
redkneck
If you buy one Don you will not be disappointed.
woolybear
If you buy one Don you will not be disappointed. Got that right. That said..., mine seems to work best 'running' at all times.
RangerClay
If you buy one Don you will not be disappointed. I took mine out for the first time Saturday. I sat down to call in some turkeys and the blackflies were thick. I lit that sucker up and set it in my lap. It took about 3-5 mins for it to warm up but when it did, the blackfies were gone.
